Job Description

ENGINEERING SHIFT SUPERVISOR

Reporting to the Base Maintenance Manager, the Shift Supervisor will be responsible for controlling and running all aspects of aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance through the delegation of tasks to the Engineering team.

This is a hand's on' role and one which will require the successful candidate to actively take part in the aircraft maintenance. You will also ensure that any enquiries from customers are managed through to completion, providing regular feedback and acting when necessary as first point of contact.

  

Additionally, the successful candidate will be instrumental in the development of the other team members and will have responsibility for mentoring engineering apprentices/trainees when necessary.

Candidates must hold a full unrestricted B1 licence and preference will be given to those applicants holding type ratings on any of the following: Hawker 125-800XP, Challenger 601/604/5 and/or Global Express type aircraft. However aircraft type training will be provided for the right individual as required.

You should have previous supervisory experience, with excellent communication skills and a conscientious, flexible approach. The position will also require that the person should be IT literate.

You should be able to work on your own initiative but also as part of a small team, coordinating your own work schedule and prioritising accordingly.
